Detailed Itinerary

Full Day: Golden Monkey Tracking — Volcanoes National Park

Depart Kigali early (approximately 4:00 AM) or from Musanze for the park headquarters at Kinigi for the 7:00 AM briefing. Guides lead you into the bamboo forest zone of Volcanoes National Park to find the habituated golden monkey troop. Spend one magical hour observing and photographing these rare and beautiful primates as they leap through the bamboo. Return to base for lunch, then transfer back to Kigali arriving in the evening.
