1 Day Gorilla Trek — Full Day Itinerary

Pickup from your Kigali hotel and depart at 4:00 AM for the 3-hour drive to Volcanoes National Park. Arrive at park HQ for the 7:00 AM briefing where your guide will share information about the gorilla family you will be visiting. Begin the trek into the bamboo forest — the experience can last 1–7 hours depending on the gorillas’ location.

When you reach the gorilla family, you are allowed one hour to observe, photograph, and admire these extraordinary creatures from a respectful 6-metre distance. After trekking back to base, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before the drive back to Kigali, arriving in the evening. Drop-off at the airport or your Kigali accommodation.
