Scenic drive to Nyungwe National Park (~5–6 hours) through Rwanda’s rolling hills, tea plantations, and traditional villages. Check-in at lodge near Nyungwe Forest (Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel or Nyungwe Forest Lodge). Evening briefing on chimpanzee trekking, canopy walk, and park rules. Dinner and overnight.
Breakfast at the lodge (5:30–6:30 AM). Transfer to park headquarters for chimpanzee trekking registration. Briefing by park rangers. Trek duration: 2–4 hours depending on chimpanzee location. Spot chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and other primates. Afternoon: return to lodge for lunch and relaxation. Optional short nature walk near lodge or visit to local tea plantations. Dinner and overnight.
