Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 — Arrival in Kigali & Transfer to Nyungwe National Park

Arrive at Kigali International Airport. Meet your professional safari guide. Scenic drive to Nyungwe National Park (~5–6 hours) through Rwanda’s rolling hills, tea plantations, and traditional villages. Check-in at lodge near Nyungwe Forest (Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel or Nyungwe Forest Lodge). Evening briefing on chimpanzee trekking, canopy walk, and park rules. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2 — Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe Forest

Breakfast at the lodge (5:30–6:30 AM). Transfer to park headquarters for chimpanzee trekking registration. Briefing by park rangers. Trek duration: 2–4 hours depending on chimpanzee location. Spot chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and other primates. Afternoon: return to lodge for lunch and relaxation. Optional short nature walk near lodge or visit to local tea plantations. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3 — Canopy Walk & Additional Primates Tracking
