Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kigali to Volcanoes National Park — Gorilla Trekking

Depart Kigali at 4:00 AM for the drive to Volcanoes NP. Gorilla trek briefing at 7:00 AM. Trek to find the gorilla family and spend a precious hour with them. Afternoon Iby’iwacu Cultural Village visit. Dinner and overnight near the park.

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest

Drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park with stops en route. Visit a local tea estate. Dinner and overnight at your forest lodge.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trek and Return to Kigali

Morning briefing then enter the forest to track chimpanzees (4–6 hours). These active primates are fascinating to observe. Packed lunch then drive back to Kigali for drop-off.
