Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Arrive in Kigali and transfer to Musanze near Volcanoes National Park (2.5 hours). Check in, briefing, dinner, and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Early breakfast then gorilla trek briefing at Kinigi HQ. Trek into the Virunga forest to find the mountain gorillas. Spend one hour with the gorilla family. Return for lunch and dinner at your lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Kivu — Sport Fishing

Transfer to Gisenyi on the shores of Lake Kivu (approximately 1 hour). Check in to your lakeside hotel and enjoy an afternoon sport fishing expedition on Lake Kivu — one of Africa’s deepest and most beautiful lakes. Dinner and overnight at your lakeshore hotel.

Day 4: Lake Kivu and Return to Kigali

Morning leisure at Lake Kivu — optional boat cruise or beach activities. After lunch, transfer back to Kigali for drop-off.
