This 5 Days Rwanda Safari offers travelers an opportunity to take part in some of the most interesting activities in Rwanda. The highlight is gorilla trekking at the Volcanoes National Park. You will also go for chimpanzee trekking and a canopy walk in Nyungwe National Park, golden monkey trekking, a cultural visit and a tour of the city of Kigali.
Nyungwe National Park is often referred to as the primates capital of Rwanda. It has 13 primate species including golden monkeys, Angola Colobus and chimpanzees. The park hosts one of the largest and oldest afro-montane forests in the world.

Day 1: Pick up from Kigali – Transfer to Nyungwe Forest
A Come2Rwanda guide will pick you up at the airport or hotel to begin the 5-hour journey to Nyungwe Forest. You will visit the Genocide Memorial Centre, the palace of the former president, the main city market and artisan shops along the way.
Dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guest House (Budget), Nyungwe Top View Hotel (Mid-range) and One and Only Nyungwe House (Luxury).
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking – Canopy Walk in Nyungwe Forest
Briefing at Nyungwe forest offices before chimpanzee tracking (2–5 hours). In the afternoon, go for the forest canopy walk — one of the first established in East Africa, offering an aerial view of the park and wildlife.
Dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guest House (Budget), Nyungwe Top View Hotel (Mid-range) and One and Only Nyungwe House (Luxury).
Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park – Visit the Twin Lakes
Drive through beautiful Lake Kivu and the Rwandan countryside. On arrival at the Volcanoes National Park, rest then visit the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking – Tour the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village
Briefing for gorilla tracking starts at 7am. After one hour with a gorilla family, return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Gorilla Guardians Cultural Village for traditional dances and cultural performances.
Day 5: Golden Monkey Tracking – Transfer Back to Kigali
Track golden monkeys at the Volcanoes National Park, then return to Kigali for departure.
