Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival — Kigali to Akagera National Park

Transfer to Akagera National Park for game drives. Spot elephants, lions, buffalo, rhinos, and giraffes across Rwanda’s only savannah park. Overnight inside the park.

Day 2: Akagera Game Drive and Transfer to Volcanoes

Morning game drive then transfer to Musanze (approximately 5 hours). Overnight near Volcanoes National Park.

Day 3: Mount Bisoke Hike

Early start for the Bisoke hike. Trek through bamboo and hagenia-hypericum forest to the spectacular crater lake at the summit (approximately 6 hours return). Lunch packed. Overnight near the park.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking — Volcanoes National Park

Gorilla trek briefing then trek into the forest to find the mountain gorillas. One hour with the gorilla family. Return for lunch.

Day 5+: Return to Kigali

Transfer back to Kigali for drop-off.
